Ghana, commonly known as the Gold Coast, is bounded by French speaking West African countries but English is the official language. Ghana boarders Cote d'ivoire in the West, Burkina Faso to the north and the east of Togo. The Atlantic Ocean can also be seen in the South. Cedi is the name of Ghanaian currency.

Kakoum National Park

This is the only canopy walk in West Africa promising visitors an adrenaline rush as they walk through the rainforest. The lush green forest is home to the tallest trees; a sight too behold. The canopy bridge is almost 60 feet above the ground and a thrilling experience not to be missed by those afraid of height.


Monkey Forest Resort’
3km away from the Kakum National Park is the monkey resort. This is a brilliant to rewarding experience. Take advantage of this opportunity after the canopy walk. This is an animal nature reserve housing various local animals. Monkey forest resort is also home to porcupines, African civets, white antelopes, monkeys and the list goes on. Tourists can also have a drink, relax and enjoy the lush view at the Doolittle restaurant.




International Stingless Bee Center

This is an opportunity to learn about the life of bees and their relation to the ecosystem. Visitors will experience a fulfilling stingless bee life tour in this tourist site close to Kakum National Park. Other than visiting the bee hive, Butterfly Garden is another amazing experience of this tour.
Elmina Castle

Elmina Castle is very rich in history. This castle was built in 1482 by the Portuguese as a trading center but it was also the main stop for slave trade.

Lake Volta

This lake one of the main tourism attractions in Ghana. Lake Volta is the largest man made lake in the world that provides electricity for Ghana and other neighboring countries. Boat cruise and fishing are few of the things visitors can do in the area.
