Nigeria


The Federal Republic of Nigeria comprises of 36 states including it's Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Nigeria shares border with Benin in the west, Niger in the North of Nigeria, Cameroon and Chad which can be located around the eastern border of Nigeria. Igbo, Yoruba, English and Hausa are the official languages of the country. Naira is the national currency (the naira 150 to the dollar ).

Agbokim Falls


It’s located in Cross River between the Nigeria-Cameroon border 17km from Ikom and 315km from Calabar.  It’s immersed in a lush greenery valley and steep. Seven rivers descending over a sharp rock presenting seven-façade cascade.  The water moves in little pockets into the captivating rain forest.

It's appropriate for a picnic and family quality time. It is a breath-taking site. It will remind you to appreciate nature and its creator. Serenity and tranquility is what you will gain.



Mambila Plateau, Taraba State

 It is a high grass land Plateau with an average elevation of 5,000 ft. It’s probably the highest point in We. Mast Africa with a height of 7,936ft. You will not be disappointed with this green lush plateau. It also has a cattle ranch, tea plantation and a chance to see the amazing bird life and grazing animals.

It is located in Erin-Ijesha Osun State. The waterfall is 2km off Erin Ijesha town,  few kilometers east of Ilesa town on he Ilesa-Akure Road.

According to the indigenes, it was discovered by Akinla the granddaughter of Oduduwa. During the immigration of the Ife people to Erin-Ijesha, 1140AD.

Olumirin has seven levels of ascending plains. You need to be fit to be able to climb this architectural beauty of nature. You will not be disappointed by the seventh level because you will be rewarded with a piece of history. It was the place some of the locals settled when the mysterious waterfall was discovered and compared to one of the gods of Ife people.

Fresh clean water splashing on the rocks and a cool breeze. You will be surrounded by evergreen vegetation, lush and idyllic.

This part of Nigeria is a bit “fridged”, the weather being similar to tropical Islands.  It has an altitude of 1,716 metres above sea level. It is located on a plateau of about 1,575.76 metres above sea level. The 11km of unwinding road with its 22 bends make driving into the ranch. The temperature is between 26 oC - 32oC November through January.  The lowest temperature range of 4 oC - 10oC is June through September. The Ranch, which is 24 square kilometer in size, is at an altitude where the view is breathtaking and the air is fresh and clean.   Enjoy the adrenaline rush as you drive through the “devil’s elbow”.  The delight of being shaded by tall trees forming natures canopy splashes your face with a cool breeze! You will also see rolling mountains as you drive through the Plateau.
The Ranch is 24 square kilometers in size. A natural water swimming pool and the amazing view of it’s own waterfall. There is also a golf course situated in the Cattle Ranch.
Tourist attractions include: the waterpark, cable-car, ranch cattle and horses, waterfall, Beehive nature reserve (canopy walk), honey and yoghurt factories and the ancient Anape village. There is also standard hotel resort facilities for tourists and visitors. The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the cable-car which runs from the entrance to the resort at the bottom of the mountain up to the ranch resort at the summit. It is claimed to be the world's longest cable car system.
Benin
Benin is also known as the Republic of Benin. This is a country in West Africa bored by Togo in the west, Nigeria to the east and Burkina Faso and Niger in the Northern area of the country. Porto-Novo is the countries capital, whilst Cotonou is the commercial city. French is the official language of the people of Benin Republic. West African CFA franc is the national currency.

Ganvie 


Ganvie appears to be a flooded community, but it is a village built on water with about 20 000 population.  It is located 109km east of Cotonou. This village on stilts lies on Lake Nakoue. It is said that the village was established during the seventh century.


 The village is open for tourist to witness and experience life in an African village. It is the only village in Africa where Hippopotamus and local people are living together in peace and harmony.    The Hippos go in search of food from 7:00-9:00 every mornings and 16:00-19:00 in the evenings. The money gained from tourism will be used to improve the living condition of the local people. You will not be disappointed as you experience life in Ganvie!

Canoes are the means of transport around the village.





Tata Sombas

Tata Sombas are two story mud houses in Northern Benin, located in the South of Natitingou in Atakora Hills. Tatas symbolizes fertility and the women decorate it with their hands.  The doors are opened facing the West side because the indigenes believe that it’s the direction of life. Apparently, the distance of the two houses is built in a way that when an arrow is fired from one rooftop it wouldn’t miss the second house.

The ground floor is used to house livestock at night. The internal floor is for cooking, and upper floor has a flat rooftop for drying grains and a courtyard as sleeping quarters.





Pendjarie Biosphere Reserve

It’s the most protected biosphere reserve in West Africa because of its diverse wildlife. The park was established in 1961 and made a UNESCO world biosphere site in 1986. The reserve covers a total area of land of 2750km with a variety of animals and birds, except for Giraffes and Zebras.
It shares border with Burkina Faso. The National Park is 630 kilometers from Cotonou (Benin, 8 hours driving), 450 kilometers from Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso, 5 hours driving) and 500 kilometers from Niamey (Niger, 6 hours driving). It has a lake and you can watch the animals drink to quench their thirst. It actually has seven natural water holes.
The Park is open throughout the year. December to July are the best month to visit the park because your trip will not be affected by the raining season and driving around the park will be easy, due to low water level.

Abomey
The ancient capital of the Dahomey kingdom was born in 1625 in a city of Zou department. It is a small town with lesser population. The place to visit is the king’s palace- “Cowrie house”, akuehu, 12 Palaces covers 99 acres of land. The kingdom became wealthy because they sold their captives, prisoners of war as slaves.
