Koutammakou with its Tatas
Koutammakou is famous for its clay castles known as Tatas in Togo. The exoctic looking clay hut castles were built to defend the local people from slave traders. Today, it is used as a store house for farm products. Some of the Tatas contain fetish items and livestocks, I think it is amazing that the Tatas are still standing tall in the 21st century.
The Togolese Republic is bored by Ghana to the west, Burkina Faso in the north and Benin to the east. Lome, a beautiful city with exotic beaches, is the country's capital with French being the county’s official language.

Kpalime
If you want to escape from the busy city life of Togo, I would recommend a visit to the village. The drive from Lome to Kpalime is a very thrilling one. The place is 120km away from Togo and if you are traveling through Ghana, cross the Tomegbe border and drive down to mount Kloto. The road will lead you into Kpalime.
